After five years on the market, “Piano Man” Billy Joel has finally sold his Hamptons home in Sagaponack.

Joel first listed the pad for $22.5 million in 2009, then chopped the ask to $19.9 million a year later. He dropped the price even further to $18.5 million in 2011, only to try for $23.5 million late last year. The property then underwent a final price chop last month, and has since been listed at $19.95 million.

The crooner’s four-bedroom, 5,550-square-foot beach house at 9 Gibson Lane is set on one acre, and reportedly underwent renovations within the last five years. Terraces line both levels of the property, which boasts a first-floor master bedroom with a fireplace, separate studio annex and a two-car garage.

The home was listed with Nancy Mizrahi of Saunders & Associates, who declined to disclose any details about the potential buyer to Newsday. [Newsday] — Julie Strickland
