The content producer would be responsible for aggregating 10+ business news stories each day from leading local, national and international outlets. The candidate will extract the most relevant insights for a real estate-focused audience and rewrite stories with this audience in mind. They would weave in previous TRD coverage to provide readers more context, and add SEO, backlinks and art to increase engagement.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in covering money and power and a keen desire to learn how the industry brings together elements of politics, business, entertainment, finance and law. The ability to write clean copy on deadline is a must, as is the ability to identify and understand the biggest news stories of the day and work within a fast-paced newsroom. Successful candidates may go on to become staff reporters within the organization and have the chance to do original business reporting on one of the most important industries in the country.
- Can write clean, effortless copy with bite
- Experience and/or interest in business reporting
- Ability to work on a tight deadline
- Knowledge of WordPress and various social media platforms; understanding of SEO best practices
- Research experience is a plus
