The Research team helps produce our award-winning breaking news, long-form investigative stories and industry rankings and is responsible for the content in our forthcoming subscription data product.
As the Research Director, you will lead a deputy manager and a team of researchers and data engineers responsible for the success of many of our editorial and new product initiatives.
We’re looking for an innovative leader with an entrepreneurial mindset who can take an idea and make it a reality, whether it’s a complicated new ranking or a brand new subscription product. We want someone who enjoys thinking big and then breaking down that thinking into actionable, iterative steps to get us from Point A to Z. A “team player” mindset is a must.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience with managing and/or launching data platforms; extensive general database research experience; theoretical knowledge of how programming languages (e.g. SQL, R and Python) can be used to extract, combine, automate and clean data; and exceptional organizational abilities both in terms of people and product management.
