The five priciest homes that sold in Chicago this week tallied $9.2 million, slightly above last week’s $8.4 million.

Like last week, there was no monster sale to pad the total. Outside the city, a lakefront estate in Winnetka closed for $8.2 million on Monday.

This week’s list consisted of three single-family homes and two condos, including a full-floor unit on the 47th floor of the 55-story 1000 N. Lake Shore Plaza. The tower dates to 1964 and for a brief period, was the tallest building in the world made with reinforced concrete.

The homes that sold were scattered around the city, with two on the Near North Side, and one each in Lincoln Park, North Center and Lakeview.

Price and property details were found on Redfin, from July 27to 31.
