New Chicago Bears quarterback Andy Dalton found himself a home after signing a one-year $10 million contract with the team.
Dalton and his wife, Jordan, paid $2.48 million for a five-bedroom, 5,347-square-foot house in Lake Bluff three months ago, according to the Chicago Tribune. They bought the home in an off-market deal after it initially hit the market for $2.595 million. They used a Texas limited liability company, the newspaper reported.
The couple will live just a few blocks from Bears head coach Matt Nagy and near Halas Hall, where the Bears are based. Dalton’s home is in addition to his five-bedroom, 6,977-square-foot house in Dallas.
Chicago-area home sales have been strong. More than 12,000 homes sold in April, outpacing the area’s pre-pandemic April average. In 2020, luxury sales in the suburbs jumped 40 percent as buyers headed for more spacious and private homes.
