Even in a depressed market for retail and office space, Chicago’s commercial brokerage offices are still in hot pursuit of top talent. Both JLL and Stream Realty pulled off coups by adding brokers from Colliers and Cushman & Wakefield.
Meanwhile, the active locally based industrial investment firm ML Realty has handed out another promotion.
Here’s more on recent Chicago-area real estate career moves.
➤ JLL hauled in a trio of women from Colliers with the hiring of Sarah Silva, Bess Cooney and Nicole Becker. The three jumped to JLL’s tenant representation division led by Todd Mintz, who called them “rising stars” in a statement.
All three worked on representing commercial real estate tenants previously with Colliers.
➤ Stream continued beefing up its ranks with additions from publicly traded brokerages by reeling in Jordan Decker and Adrian Boone as office tenant reps from Cushman.
They’ll work alongside Phil Geiger, who left JLL for Stream in November, as well as Patrick Russo, who became a partner in Stream’s Chicago office last year. Decker had worked with Cushman for more than 15 years before the move, while had worked there nearly three.
“We plan to leverage the duo’s unparalleled creativity, strong ethics, and diversity in thought as we continue to build the most elite tenant rep team in Chicago,” Russo said. “When we opened in Chicago, we committed to being an extremely active player and creative force in the market. We are delivering on that promise.”
➤ Tim Geisler earned a promotion with industrial investment firm ML Realty, where he’s worked since 2008, when he joined as a development director. He has moved into a senior vice president role.
“Tim has successfully led development efforts for ML Realty Partners through sourcing and
expanding industrial projects in Illinois and Texas,” stated Hesch. “His expertise in industrial development has made a profound impact on our company’s success over the years.”
