Call it serendipity, more or less. Romcom veteran John Cusack sold his home for $10.3 million, about six months after it hit the market for $13.5 million.

Brant Didden of 4 Malibu Real Estate was the listing agent, and Jonathan Steindorff of the same firm represented the buyer.

The beachfront Spanish-style home spans 4,660 square feet. It has three bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and a living room that takes in views of the coast. Built in 1974, the house last changed hands for $2.1 million in 1999, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Sitting behind a gated community, the bungalow also features high ceilings, wrought iron chandeliers, an office, exercise room and dry sauna. [LAT]Cathaleen Chen
