It’s a beautiful villa for “A Beautiful Mind.”
Akiva Goldsman, the screenwriter behind the 2002 Oscar-winning biopic about mathematician John Forbes Nash Jr., has listed his Tuscan-style abode in Beverly Hills for $12.5 million, according to Variety. He acquired the 3.5-acre compound from Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Kiedis for slightly above $7 million in 2007.
The 4,300-square-foot house contains five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a living room with 16-foot ceilings, six huge fireplaces and a custom bell tower. In addition to a pool and spa, the expansive grounds feature lush foliage, paved walkways and an outdoor lounge.
Goldsman, also known for “I Am Legend” and “The Da Vinci Code,” also owns several properties in New York, inlcuding a $4.45 million house in Southampton and a 75-acre property upstate in Pine Bush. [Variety] — Cathaleen Chen
