Baseball legend Ichiro Suzuki has sold his penthouse in the Arts District to eSports entrepreneur Alexander Garfield, the CEO of Evil Geniuses, for $2.45 million, or $1,207 per square foot.

The two-story, 2,030-square-foot unit within the Biscuit Company Lofts — above the popular restaurant Church & State — has one bedroom, three bathrooms, exposed bricks and high ceilings. The building has a 1,000-square-foot rooftop patio with a pool.

The loft sold for more than $100,000 over its asking price. It was listed by Dominic Labriola and Tara Hotchkis of Mercer Vine.

The Biscuit Company Lofts building, at 1850 Industrial Avenue, was redeveloped in 2007 by Arts District pioneer Yuval Bar-Zemer’s Linear City and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Other bold faced names who have owned units in the building include Vincent Gallo, Nicolas Cage and Kevin Spacey.
