Thomas Safran & Associates wants to expand its senior housing complex in Hollywood, city filings show.

The nonprofit developer filed plans Thursday to build a 68-unit affordable senior housing facility next to the Montecito Apartments at 6650 W. Franklin Avenue, which already contains 118 senior housing units.

The project calls for the two structures, old and new, to be connected through a common lobby, Urbanize first reported.
