A Malibu mansion asking $21.5 million was the priciest home in Los Angeles County to find a buyer last week.
The beachfront mansion at 30810 Broad Beach Road topped all other luxury homes to go into contract last week — based on a report compiled by Marcy Roth of Douglas Elliman’s Eklund Gomes team. The Eklund Weekly Luxury Report Los Angeles rounds up single-family homes and condominiums listed in the Multiple Listing Service for $4 million or more and lists the top contracts based on asking price.
Spanning just over 4,000 square feet, the five-bedroom home most recently hit the market in late May but was previously listed from August to February with a $22 million price tag. The property last traded hands in 2002 for $4.9 million. It’s unclear who the current seller is but the home formerly belonged to actress and singer, Pia Zadora, according to Robb Report.
Situated along “celebrity row” — a stretch of Malibu that has been home to residents including Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman — the Broad Beach home includes a spa, outdoor barbecue, fire pit and guest house.
Kathryn Bentzen of Coldwell Banker Realty holds the listing.
Including this Malibu property, there were 19 luxury contracts inked last week in the county with a total asking volume of $169 million. The average contract price for single-family homes exceeded $9 million, Roth said in her report.
She noted decreased volume from the week prior — which counted 22 luxury contracts totaling $181.7 million — but increased volume year over year.
“Compared to the same week last year, the luxury market is performing better,” Roth said. “Combined contract volume increased approximately 25 percent… while the average contract price climbed nearly 19 percent.”
The second-priciest home to go into contract last week was at 1412 Lower Paseo La Cresta in Palos Verdes Estates with a $9.9 million asking price. The 7,500-square-foot, four-bedroom home first hit the market in June 2025 with the same asking price before being taken off in October. In March, the property was re-listed.
Vista Sotheby’s International Realty’s Chris Adlam holds the listing for the mansion which features a pool, spa, ocean views, guest house and putting green.
