The site where Holger Schubert once created a third-story living room that doubled as a parking garage for his prized Ferrari 512 BBi “Boxer” has hit the market for $19.9 million, making it the priciest listing in L.A. last week.

Its current seller, an entity tied to Max McDermott of Core Equity Properties, began development of a 29,000-square-foot compound on the site. But the fate of the project — which has a 20 percent complete main house and a 70 percent complete guest house — is now in question thanks to a recently passed hillside ordinance that limits the size of developments in the area.
