Robert Downey Jr. buys Malibu home for $3.8M

Even Iron Man wants to live in red-hot Malibu.

An entity linked to actor Robert Downey Jr. scooped up a mid-century modern pad in the increasingly popular city for $3.8 million.

The 3,384-square-foot home was built in 1972 and has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The property also features a black-bottomed swimming pool and a spa, cabana, putting green and built-in barbecue, according to listing details.

It listed in March for $3.95 million.

Paul Grisanti of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage represented the seller. Judy Feder of Hilton & Hyland represented the buyer.

Downey has starred in three “Iron Man” films as well as four other Marvel movies. He will reprise the Iron Man role in next month’s film “Spider-man: Homecoming.” [LAT] — Subrina Hudson
