Alanis Morissette has one hand in her pocket “and the other one is giving a peace sign” to her longtime Brentwood home.
The singer and songwriter purchased the Mediterranean-style abode in 1996 for $1.8 million, a year after the release of her famous album “Jagged Little Pill.” She recently listed it with an asking price of $5.5 million.
The 5,152-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The two-story property has a chef’s kitchen with a curved island/bar, a library and an office. It sits on a more than half-acre lot with an outdoor swimming pool and sports court, according to the L.A. Times.
Joe Babajian of Rodeo Realty has the listing.
Morissette has won seven Grammy Awards. Her most recent album, “Havoc and Bright Lights,” was released in 2012. [LAT] — Subrina Hudson
