Singer and actress Katherine McPhee is moving to Studio City.
McPhee just dropped $2.05 million on a 3,527-square-foot home with classic old-Hollywood-style architecture in the neighborhood after listing her Toluca Lake home last month for $1.55 million.
The Spanish-style home features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a sunroom, an outdoor living room and a private courtyard. The driveway connects a two-car motor court and a large grassy field in front of the house.
The property was previously owned by the silent film star Agnes Ayres who started in Rudolph Valentino’s “The Sheik”. It was last sold for $1.88 million in 2015.
Edward Fitz of The Agency had the listing. Doug Rago of eXp Realty of California represented the buyer.
McPhee rose to fame in 2006 as a runner-up on the fifth season of American Idol and she has released four albums since then. In more recent years, she established an acting career, starring in the TV series “Smash” and “Scorpion”. [Variety] — Naiwen Tian
