Malibu pad

The oceanfront home is now listed at $52 million

Film producer Joel Silver chopped the price on his 1930s Malibu beach house to $52 million, the Los Angeles Times reported. He initially listed it at $57.5 million last year.

The Pacific Coast Highway home spans nearly three-quarters of an acre. It has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a detached guest house, swimming pool, spa and tennis court.

Silver and his wife Karyn acquired the property in 2003 for $14.4 million, records show.

Silver is responsible for the “Matrix” trilogy, the first two “Die Hard” films and the “Lethal Weapon” franchise. He also owns a 22,000-square-foot mansion in Brentwood. [LAT]Natalie Hoberman
