Russell Peters, whose most famous jokes are about finding bargains, has listed his beachfront Malibu property for a heavily discounted $8.8 million.

That’s a 26 percent chop from the $11.9 million he asked for the property when he first listed it in September 2016 with Desiree Zuckerman of Rodeo Realty, but still nearly double the $4.7 million he paid for it in 2014.

The Canadian-born comic carried out an extensive home renovation, telling the Wall Street Journal that he “opened up the front entrance and created an entire wall of windows looking into the backyard and the Pacific.”

“We changed all the railings on the balconies to glass so that you could see the ocean while lying in bed,” he added.

The 10,000-square-foot house includes seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, and listing agent Gary Gold of Hilton & Hyland told The Real Deal that “every bedroom in the house is master bedroom-sized.”

Peters will reportedly move to a Hidden Hills home he purchased in June. He offloaded a six-bedroom home in Studio City exactly a year ago for $2.5 million to frequent Kanye West collaborator and music producer Mike Dean. [WSJ] — Dennis Lynch
