A Jordanian billionaire has listed his Holmby Hills estate along one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive streets for $70 million.
The 10-bedroom spread, dubbed il Magione, is the home of Hasan Ismaik, the former CEO of Arabtec, a Dubai-based real estate company. Ismaik bought the 31,450 square-foot residence in 2014 for $44 million, according to Yolanda’s Little Black Book, the real estate blog.
It was originally built in 2013 as a spec home by developer Nile Niami. The compound, which features a two-bedroom guest house, bowling alley, wine cellar, movie theater, private salon, and basement “operating room,” spans 31,450 square feet across 1.4 acres.
The three-level main house, which has an elevator, sits on South Mapleton Drive, nearly across the street from the former Playboy mansion. Ismaik’s neighbors include an array of global billionaires and the super-famous, including director Ridley Scott, Sean “Diddy” Combs, music producer Jimmy Iovine and Alexandra von Furstenberg.
Ismaik apparently did not alter the home much and even left the original furniture, which was designed by Fendi Casa, Yolanda reported, citing current listing photos.
Meanwhile, Niami is busy in nearby Bel Air working on a 100,000-square-foot hilltop estate he calls The One, which he expects to be available later this year.
