Actor Rob Lowe and wife Sheryl Berkoff are looking to get out of their massive Montecito estate, which they have listed for $47 million.
The 3.4-acre property includes a 10,000-square-foot main house built in 2009, a guest house, pool house, gardens, and tennis court, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The couple’s two children are now in college, which may have led to the decision to move. But it’s not the first time the couple has listed the estate. Word spread in 2013 that they had a buyer at $42 million for the property, but the deal fell through.
The main home has six bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms, along with a commercial kitchen to supplement a family kitchen, a screening room, and a gym. A guesthouse has two more bedrooms and a kitchen, while the pool house includes a bedroom, staff quarters, and a kitchen. The grounds are landscaped and include a koi pond.
Lowe, who is chummy with Colony Capital head Tom Barrack, has appeared in dozens of television shows and films over his nearly 40 years in show business. TV highlights include stints on the comedy “Parks and Recreation” and the drama the “West Wing.” His films include “St. Elmo’s Fire” and “Wayne’s World.”
In 2017, he started a ghost hunting show with his two sons, called “The Lowe Files.”
