Drew Barrymore is parting ways with her longtime home in the Hollywood Hills.
The actress sold an 8,000-square-foot residence for $16.5 million in a deal that transacted off-market last month, the Los Angeles Times reported.
A Swedish LLC named Hillcrest AB is listed as the recorded buyer, property records show.
Built in 1957, the home has 18 rooms, including four bedrooms, as well as a guest house and swimming pool. The two-story home also features four fireplaces.
Barrymore paid $4.35 million for the property in 2002, records show. Hollywood director John Bowab also once owned the estate.
A former child star, Barrymore is now starring and producing in the Netflix television show “Santa Clarita Diet.” Her previous roles include “50 First Dates,” “Charlie’s Angels” and “Never Been Kissed.”
Elsewhere in the Hollywood Hills, a modernist spec home, with interiors designed by Lenny Kravitz, recently sold for $33 million in cash to Merck exec Frank Binder. The 10,700-square-foot home, listed originally for $38 million, was developed in part by Hilton & Hyland agents Branden and Rayni Williams. [LAT] – Natalie Hoberman
