January hasn’t even ended yet and Ellen DeGeneres has already bought her first high-priced pad of 2019.

The talk show host slash residential real estate buyer and seller spent $27 million on a Bali-inspired mansion in Montecito, according to Yolanda’s Little Black Book. Records show the deal closed Jan. 23.

The property, on Santa Barbara’s Valley Road, includes an 8,000-square-foot main house and expansive backyard. There are five bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, two offices, a guesthouse, infinity pool and gym on the 8.2-acre property.

Marsha Stroum Glazer and her husband Jay Glazer sold the home. They originally listed it for $40 million last year, then dropped $5 million off its ask in September. It was custom-built for the Glazers — renowned art collectors — in 2011. Stroum Glazer is the daughter of the late Sam Stroum, a Seattle businessman and philanthropist. Many of the architectural features stem from Asian and Balinese design.

Ivor Miskulin and Suzanne Perkins of Compass had the listing. Perkins also represented DeGeneres, who purchased the home through her business manager.

DeGeneres and actress wife Portia de Rossi are among some of the most well-known home flippers in the celebrity real estate game. The two unloaded a Beverly Hills mansion for $35 million in October, just a few months after selling another home in Montecito for $34 million. [YBB]Natalie Hoberman
