After struggling to sell a home in the Bird Streets, actress Jodie Foster is hoping to have better luck with her Beverly Hills house.
The actress has put her hilltop residence in the Coldwater Canyon area on the market for $15.9 million.
The 7,500-square-foot residence has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a media and theatre room, and a pool in the backyard. Yolanda’s Little Black Book first reported the listing.
Foster paid $11.8 million for the 0.65-acre property in 2012 in an off-market deal. Built in 1952, it backs up to Franklin Canyon. British producer Colin Callender later added a second story before Foster purchased the property.
David Kramer with Hilton & Hyland has the listing.
Foster, who starred in films like The Accused and The Silence of the Lambs, previously struggled to sell a home in the Bird Streets. That home was originally listed for almost $6.4 million, but it took more than a year and a half to sell for just under $5 million in 2014.
Other Beverly Hills residents have struggled recently to sell near to their original asking prices. Russ Weiner recently re-listed his Beverly Hills mansion for $36 million after it first hit the market for almost $49 million about two years ago. And a mansion on Hanover Drive built by developer Roman James was re-listed this month after a 13-percent price cut. [Yolanda] – Gregory Cornfield
