Brad Pitt has completed a “Trading Spaces”-style home swap with Getty Oil heiress Aileen Getty.

The “Babylon” star and producer bought Getty’s three-bedroom, mid-century showpiece at 2300 North Edgemont Street in Los Feliz for $5.5 million, after she paid $33 million for his historic Craftsman estate at 5769 Briarcliff Road in Los Feliz, Dirt.com reported.

Property records have been updated and reveal the Pitt compound actually sold for $33 million — less than the $39 million initially reported.

Getty had bought her home from Maroon 5’s James Valentine in 2019 for $4.1 million

The 59-year-old Pitt, a noted architecture buff, had sold his longtime home in Los Feliz because he was looking for something smaller in L.A. His main house now sits above crashing waves in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

The $40 million Carmel castle, on a steep oceanside bluff at 105 Highway 1, was built in 1918 as a summer retreat for the family of writer D.L. James. The sandstone and granite home was designed by Charles Sumner Greene, a proponent of the Arts and Crafts movement

Flash forward to 1960, when his latest house in Los Feliz was built by mid-century architect Neil Johnson and dubbed the Steel House.

The 2,100-square-foot home, hewn from steel and glass, was inspired by the famous Case Study program. Its squat, rectangular roof caps all the mid-century modern touches — including terrazzo floors, cantilevered eaves and beamed ceilings.

Valentine, who acquired the three-bedroom, two-bathroom property in 2007, hired designer Mark Haddawy to do a complete restoration.

A 1960s fireplace warms the open living/dining room, and a terrace looks through tropical landscaping to the city lights below. There’s also a redwood hot tub plus a freestanding sauna building.

All three of the home’s bedrooms have cobalt blue carpeting, while the kitchen, master bath and walk-in closet have custom cabinetry painted a pale blue.

The L-shaped home wraps around a sunny backyard, with most rooms overlooking a swimming pool and patio.

Pitt once owned a modernist Malibu house that was sold to Ellen DeGeneres. The $45 million property is now owned by co-founders of the Skims clothing line.

Aileen Getty, a well-known collector of trophy real estate, was born in L.A. but raised in Italy. The 65-year-old philanthropist and reformed drug addict is a granddaughter of industrialist J. Paul Getty, who was at one time the world’s richest man.

Her huge deal with Pitt closed just four days before L.A.’s new mansion tax went into effect, which saved Pitt more than $1.8 million in additional taxes, according to Dirt.

Getty once owned a Mulholland Drive equestrian compound she sold a decade ago to Katy Perry and now owned by Michael Chow of the Mr. Chow restaurant chain. She also once owned a blacked-out Malibu farmhouse, and a New York City townhouse.
