Developer Gala Asher has sold an 11,800-square-foot spec home in the desert city of La Quinta for $21 million, among the top prices paid in the lower Coachella Valley.

Todd Pedersen, the Utah-based co-founder of the Vivint smart-home and security firm, bought the mansion in the exclusive Madison Club enclave at 81560 Baffin Avenue, Dirt.com reported.

The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion was built by Asher within the gated golf course and country club popular with celebrities northeast of PGA West.

The two-story contemporary home, with windowless white walls that zig-zag away from the front door, came fully furnished, as was a separate casita.

It included 17 flatscreen TVs, custom cabinets from Italy, 16 adjustable AC zones, seven fireplaces, indoor and outdoor kitchens and sliding pocket doors throughout.

A 3,700-square-foot master suite has two fireplaces, multiple sitting areas, an infrared sauna, gym and dual closets and bathrooms, the latter with heated floors.

The house came with 18 major art pieces selected by Asher and his team.

The property doesn’t have an ordinary garage. Instead it comes with a “world-class car display showroom” with room for 10 vehicles.

Other Madison Club residents include Lori Loughlin, Scooter Braun, Nike’s Phil Knight, Apple CEO Tim Cook and many of the Kardashians. HOA dues are $1,652 per month, which allows access to a clubhouse, five-star dining, spa facilities and more.

Pederson owns a 5,700-square-foot house in Beverly Grove and another golf course estate in Orem, Utah. Last summer, his family’s multimillion-dollar houseboat with helipad sank in Lake Powell.

The devout Mormon sold Vivint for $2 billion in 2012 to the Blackstone Group but remained CEO until 2021.
