Amalfi Estates, the upscale residential agency in Pacific Palisades, has announced that it will open a sales operation in Dallas. It represents Amalfi’s first expansion outside of its Los Angeles headquarters at 984 Monument Street in the Palisades.
The move follows other L.A.-based agencies that have opened offices in new markets. The Altman Brothers at Douglas Elliman recently opened an Orange County office, and The Oppenheim Group moved into a former art gallery in La Jolla. But Amalfi has ventured farther into Texas.
Leading the new office will be Amalfi’s Chad Singer.
“A lot of people from Los Angeles are moving. The biggest destinations are Dallas, Scottsdale, Arizona and Nashville,” Singer said. “ Amalfi Estates does high-end luxury in Los Angeles. We will bring that type of buyer to another market.”
Singer also anticipates luxury Los Angeles-style marketing in Dallas. He expects to work in upscale Dallas enclaves such as Preston Hollow and the town of Highland Park.
The population of the Dallas-Fort Worth area is projected to increase by 3.4 million by 2045, according to a JLL forecast. The market is currently home to more than 7.6 million people.
There currently are no plans to open a physical Amalfi Estates office in Dallas, however plans for a brick-and-mortar location have not been ruled out.
Amalfi Estates founder Anthony Marguleas forecast that the headcount for the Dallas office will grow no larger than 10 people, in keeping with its boutique approach to the market.
“Amalfi Estates has 10 agents in Los Angeles, and we want to keep Dallas in a similar model,” he said.
Amalfi Estates has been in business since 1993. It was ranked on The Real Deal’s 2022 list of top Los Angeles brokers with sales volume of more than $379 million for 130 deals that year. The firm works with white-label brokerage Side.
