A Beverly Hills home owned by the late Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner has listed for sale at $27 million.
Barbara Goldner, widow of the longtime chairman and head of the Rhode Island-based toy company, has put the 7,500-square-foot house up for sale at 610 North Canon Drive, in the Beverly Flats, according to Mansion Global and the Robb Report.
Goldner, who dreamed up Transformers action figures and Monopoly game sets, paid $18 million for the traditional-style house in 2020, under a trust in his wife’s name.
He died in 2021 from cancer, at 58.
The Goldners hired Obama White House designer Michael Smith to revamp the five-bedroom, eight-bath home.
The two-story white brick house, built in 1986 on nearly half an acre, is capped by a black mansard roof. It has a soaring sky-lit foyer that features a curving staircase with iron rails.
A living room has a marble fireplace. A gourmet kitchen has a central island and breakfast nook. A formal dining room is lined with silver and white scenic wallpaper. There’s a wood-paneled office, a master bedroom with a fireplace, office and dual baths.
Outside, a backyard surrounded by hedges has a pool with a spa and Baja shelf, with a built-in barbecue beside a pergola-shaded fireplace lounge. There’s a guesthouse used as a gym, plus an attached two-car garage.
Brokers Antonio Bruno of Sotheby’s International Realty-Beverly Hills Brokerage and Tomer Fridman of Christie’s International Real Estate hold the listing.
Barbara Goldner, a clinical social worker, also owns property in Rhode Island, and is moving out of state, according to Mansion Global.
