It’s less than two months into the year and Bel-Air’s already landed a sale with a hefty price tag.
The $32.5 million trade of 10901 Savona Road currently sits in the top spot for the most expensive sale so far this year in the tony neighborhood. It ranks eighth among the priciest home sales ever in Bel-Air, based on a review of Zillow records.
Construction company Romm Builders designed and built the spec home, which was completed this year and went quickly before hitting the market.
Compass’ Sally Forster Jones, one of the listing agents, noted a “highly active market for marquee” properties and Bel-Air as one of the standouts.
“Due to the large pool of ultra-high-net-worth buyers searching for homes of this caliber here, the likelihood that these homes transact before they are brought to the public marketplace is greatly increased,” Forster Jones said in a statement to The Real Deal. “Of course, these buyers are attracted to the views and to the impeccable quality of the rare estates that can be found here.”
Forster Jones marketed the property with Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California’s Tomer Fridman.
Property and state records show the seller is a limited liability company called Savona Road, which is managed by a group of investors that includes Nancy De Mayo, Christopher King, Joe Klemash and Robyn King.
The mystery buyer was represented by Pinnacle Real Estate Group’s Yubo Mu, who did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the deal Tuesday.
Highlights of the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home include a theater, 360-degree views, several outdoor terraces and patios, court that can be used for various sports, rooftop deck and putting green.
Currently, 10771 Bellagio Road is Bel-Air’s most expensive home sale to date, according to Zillow. The nearly 21,000-square-foot estate sold for $52 million in 2022. It has 11 beds and 18 baths, on a lot over an acre.
While Savona Road sets the tone for Bel-Air’s high-end market this year, there are several behemoths standing in line to nab the top spot for the neighborhood’s priciest deal ever.
That includes the $150 million listing of Villa dei Fiori at 729 Bel Air Road. It’s listed by Carolwood Estates’ Drew Fenton and Linda May. The property, once owned by Trust Company of the West founder Robert Day, is nearly 19,000 square feet with garden, guest house, tennis court and Koi ponds.
There’s also the $115 million Villa Del Amor at 10936 Chalon Road, sitting above the Bel-Air Country Club golf course. That’s listed by Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California’s Aaron Kirman and Cindy Ambuehl.
