Tony Pritzker’s LA mansion gets $40M price cut

The sprawling Pritzker Estate in Beverly Glen has taken a sizable price cut.

The hilltop mansion at 1261 Angelo Drive owned by billionaire Tony Pritzker, brother of Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, is now on the market for $135 million, down from its previous asking price of $175 million, Crain’s Chicago Business reported. It’s the second time the 50,000-square-foot manse has taken a haircut since it hit the market in late 2024 for nearly $200 million.

Pritzker’s estate is at the center of his divorce from now ex-wife Jeanne, who reportedly only learned she never had any legal ownership of the house when the couple separated in 2022. The home was owned by legal entities that did not include her. When they parted ways, Tony bought a $19.5 million condominium a few miles away, and Jeanne learned via Tony’s attorneys that she wasn’t entitled to live in the house because she is not associated with the trust that owns it, the Wall Street Journal previously reported.

The home first went up for sale in October 2024 for $195 million. The price fell by $20 million the following April.

Even with today’s listing price being approximately 69 percent of what the billionaire originally sought for the property, if it sold for $135 million it would still surpass the country’s priciest home sale of 2025, a $133 million property in Naples, Florida, according to Redfin.

“It’s time [for the owners] to move to the next chapter,” listing agent Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency told Mansion Global. “They’re ready to pass the torch.”

At 50,000 square feet, the home is one of the largest in the U.S., rivaling the 55,000-square-foot White House. Spanning 16 bedrooms and 27 bathrooms, the main house on the Pritzker Estate boasts a theater, a game room, a bowling alley, a wellness center, a gym and a wine cellar, according to the listing. To stay warm and cool, the home also has 18 fireplaces, solar panels and a heating and cooling system powered by geothermal technology. There’s also a separate two-story, two-bedroom guest house, parking for up to 100 vehicles, a green marble infinity pool and hot tub, a lighted tennis court with a pavilion and an outdoor kitchen.
