Kurt Rappaport

Co-Founder, Westside Estate Agency

Kurt Rappaport is a one-man show. No team; one assistant. He’s ranked fifth across all agents and teams in Los Angeles County, with $568 million in volume across 19 deals between July 1, 2024 to July 1, 2025. Yet, Rappaport’s volume per transaction bests his peers, whether counting individual agents or teams, with a nearly $30 million average.

In the age of the mega teams, can this one-person super agent continue the momentum? It would take a lot to topple him from the many accolades Rappaport holds. In 2024, he set a new state record, representing Oakley and Red Digital Cinema Camera Co. founder Jim Jannard in the $210 million sale of his Malibu home.

Rappaport cut his teeth at Merrill Lynch Realty in Beverly Hills after studying film at the University of Southern California. Then he joined Stan Herman, Stephen Shapiro and Associates, where he met his Westside Estate Agency co-founder. Shapiro and Rappaport founded the brokerage in 1999, growing it to offices in Beverly Hills and Malibu.

But Rappaport’s empire expands well beyond sales; he owns a growing portfolio of his own real estate and became a restaurateur when he teamed with chef Evan Funke to open Funke in Beverly Hills in 2023. Rappaport grew up on the Westside. His father practiced entertainment law, while his mother was a Christian jewelry designer. An avid Dodgers fan, Rappaport’s baseball card collection is as prized as some of the homes he sells. Among the standouts is a Honus Wagner card, while Jackie Robinson’s rookie card is his favorite.
