Coldwell Banker Icon owner Jessie Rodriguez made good on an acquisition he hinted at earlier in the year, a move that helped balloon his brokerage overnight.
Rodriguez, who moved his business to Coldwell Banker Real Estate as a franchisee in January, acquired Coldwell Banker Blackstone Realty. Rodriguez indicated there was a deal in the works in an interview with The Real Deal earlier this year, although declined to provide specifics at the time.
The deal brings 106 agents into the brokerage’s fold. Coldwell Banker Icon also expands its footprint with three offices in Ontario, Glendora and Corona.
Rodriguez joined the Coldwell Banker network this year, renaming his roughly 25-agent Cal American Homes business to Coldwell Banker Icon.
Elsewhere in Southern California, several residential brokerages made recruiting moves over the past month.
➤ Carolwood Estates padded its Montecito office with Stacy Gottula, previously of Coldwell Banker.
Gottula’s past deals include listing 630 Nimes Road in Bel-Air, which sold for $56 million in 2018. The property, which is nicknamed “Le Belvedere,” more recently traded again in a separate deal that tied for a 2025 residential record of $110 million. Gottula was also the listing agent on the 2013, $32.8 million sale of 904 North Crescent Drive in Beverly Hills.
➤ The Beverly Hills Estates landed Evan Dolmatsky, who specializes in Beverly Hills, Bel-Air and Hollywood Hills. Dolmatsky, who counts over $300 million in career sales, was previously a partner for over a decade at Voyage Real Estate.
Voyage is helmed by CEO Ari Afshar, who is Compass Los Angeles’ founding agent.
➤ Ann Marie Ahern and Angel Collins of Selling LA Luxury jumped to Compass. The duo counts over $100 million in career closings with their focus across Los Angeles County.
Compass also poached from The Agency Jennifer Tisdale, who is the sister of actress and singer Ashley Tisdale. Tisdale counts $57 million in career sales and has appeared in MTV’s “Undressed,” in addition to films such as “The Hillside Strangler” and “Dark Ride.”
➤ Fast-growing brokerage Innovate Realty added a raft — a dozen to be exact — of former Sotheby’s International Realty agents. That includes Michelle Ouellette, Bana Zarrabian and Debbie Weiss in Westlake. In Calabasas, the ex-Sotheby’s agents to join were Sherry Radis, Barbara Wiesener, Debbie Wolf, Stefanie Becker, Cindy Royall Libonati, Chryssa Lightheart and Robin Rick. Andrea Herz and Stephen Henderson, based out of Innovate’s Ventura Harbor office, fill out the rest of the Sotheby’s departures in roughly the past month.
In Innovate’s Torrance office the brokerage added Branden Lowder, Brian Musick, Mike Fink, Tammy Faecher, Pamela Brown and Julie Ast. The additions were previously with Southbay Passive Income.
In all, the 18 newcomers bring over $34 million in inventory to Innovate, with about $24.5 million of that from the group of former Sotheby’s agents.
➤ Nourmand & Associates, which recently surpassed the 200-agent mark, nabbed Eric Edelist. He’s focused on Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. The brokerage also brought on Kate Machado, who sells in submarkets west of the 405; former Coldwell Banker agent Jacqueline Dunegan to focus on Playa Del Rey, Playa Vista and other nearby submarkets; Duke George, who is a partner to Myra Nourmand, and focused on Beverly Hills, Bel-Air and Brentwood among other areas; and Anastasia Guerasseva, who specializes in the San Fernando Valley and West Hollywood among other areas.
