Maybe the Prince track, “77 Beverly Park,” factored into the $68 million asking price of a mansion at that same address.
The sprawling estate at 77 Beverly Park Lane hit the market this week and is where the late singer, né Prince Rogers Nelson, reportedly lived and recorded between 2008 and 2009.
Even without the tie to major music history, the residence inside the guard-gated Beverly Park community is heavy on the amenities. At an asking price equating to $2,519 per square foot, the home boasts parking for more than 50 cars, a theater, wine cellar, gym, rose and vegetable gardens, outdoor kitchen and entertaining spaces. By the numbers, it’s 27,000 square feet sitting on an over two-acre lot.
The nine-bed, 15-bath home is in Beverly Hills Post Office, which is part of the City of Los Angeles.
Beverly Park is known for its high-profile roster of past and present residents, which includes Justin Bieber, Adele, Sylvester Stallone, Eddy Murphy, Rod Stewart and Sofia Vergara.
The Beverly Hills Estates’ Rayni and Branden Williams hold the listing.
The agents did not respond to a request for comment on the home’s seller, though records through PropertyShark indicate a Delaware shell company is behind the sale. Ownership transferred to the Delaware entity in 2010 from a California limited liability company managed by George Santopietro – developer and former husband of “Wheel of Fortune” co-host Vanna White.
Whether Santopietro has ties to the Delaware entity is unclear. A 2014 lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court against the LLC by the North Beverly Park Homeowners Association alleged that the business is Los Angeles County based. The association’s lawsuit, which it later requested be dismissed, accused the homeowner of conducting work on the property that was never approved by the HOA, according to the complaint.
While the sprawling estate is a pricey entrant into Los Angeles County’s for-sale inventory, it’s not the most expensive listing in Beverly Park.
That’s a title held by 73 Beverly Park Lane, with its nearly $80 million asking price that comes out to $2,807 per square foot. The home was re-listed in December and repriced from a high of nearly $90 million.
Not far from 77 Beverly Park is the home of Paris Hilton and her husband Carter Reum, who plunked down $63.1 million for 71 Beverly Park Lane last June. The Richard Landry-designed mansion was once owned by Mark Wahlberg and his wife Rhea Durham.
