Grammy winner Lizzo didn’t base “About Damn Time” on the sale of her Beverly Hills Post Office home, but the track title is certainly apt.
After over a year on the market, the deal for 9551 Oak Pass Road officially closed on Monday for $11.2 million, or $2,049 per square foot, according to Multiple Listing Service records.
Lizzo (née Melissa Viviane Jefferson) first shopped the home, located in the Oak Pass Road gated community, in late 2024 for just under $16 million. That was after the “Truth Hurts” and “Juice” singer paid $15 million for the home in 2022. The home was most recently asking $12.5 million when it went into contract last week in news first reported by Mansion Global.
Carolwood Estates’ James Harris was the listing agent. Sotheby’s International Realty’s Patrick Martin brought the buyer.
Carolwood declined to comment on the deal, and Martin declined to disclose his client. A deed has not yet been filed with Los Angeles County, making the mystery buyer’s identity unclear.
The L-shaped retreat incorporates wood, stone and steel throughout the property, while windows and terraces look out onto the mountains. There’s also a saltwater pool, gym, wellness center, outdoor kitchen and space for a studio or office.
Beverly Hills Post Office, while part of the city of Los Angeles, shares the 90210 zip code with Beverly Hills.
Another Oak Pass Road property currently holds the title of this year’s priciest residential sale in Beverly Hills Post Office, according to Redfin records. That’s the $18 million trade of 9694 Oak Pass Road, which came out to $1,289 per square foot when the nearly 14,000-square-foot estate sold last month.
The home was featured in HBO’s “Entourage” and was once owned by Mark Wahlberg.
The Lizzo sale ranks fourth among Beverly Hills Post Office’s priciest deals so far this year.
