Crist creates subprime task force

Governor Charlie Crist has signed an executive order, creating a task force to analyze the foreclosure crisis and recommend methods to help homeowners avoid foreclosure. The organization, which will be called the Florida Home Ownership Promotes the Economy (HOPE) Task Force, will include experts in mortgage lending, consumer advocates, policy experts and legislators. It is expected to work with the state legislature to suggest a solution by April 18.
