Developer eyes Bronx golf course

Florida-based Sanford Golf Design is in talks with New York City to develop a golf course over a former Bronx landfill.
The estimated $60 million project was first proposed 10 years ago, and
the city removed developer Ferry Point Partners from the project two
years ago over charges of mismanagement. The 222 acres are still heaps
of dirt and rubble, and the city has already spent $15 million on
preparing the land and cleaning up the toxic environment. The Real Deal reported on the project in its March New York issue.
