Miami mortgage costs rise

A national survey by Bankrate revealed that Miami is one of the five most expensive areas to get a mortgage. The average closing cost on a mortgage here was $3,683, the firm said. New York topped the list at $4,016. The 2007 national average closing cost of $2,736 rose 14 percent to an average of $3,118 this year.
