Donald Trump agreed to buy Ed McMahon’s Beverly Hills house, which faced foreclosure, in a deal that will let the 85-year-old former Tonight Show sidekick remain in the home. “I don’t know the man, but I grew up watching him on TV,” Trump said. McMahon was about two weeks away from losing his home, which he has lived in for 18 years. He defaulted on $4.8 million in Countrywide mortgage loans. His six-bedroom, five-bathroom house, which had been on the market for about two years, listed for more than $7 million but was now selling for $4.6 million. McMahon’s broker flew to New York to appeal to Trump.
