Housing crash crunches jobs

University of Central Florida economist Sean Snaith says housing is the
locus of the state’s flagging economy. Unemployment statistics from the
Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation show the jobless rate in Palm
Beach County has doubled since the boom, and Snaith says housing —
which powered the economic boom — is now dragging the area down.
