Commercial renters face price increases

The downturn in commercial real estate prices isn’t always translating
into cheaper rents for corporations. Landlords are expected to raise
rents to cover increasing building and operations costs, which could
cause rent increases of up to 20 percent. To justify the increasing
rents, some landlords are offering benefits to renters like new
carpeting and upgraded hardware and lighting packages.
