Coral Gables residents who oppose a plan to build 72 luxury villas at the site of a parking lot met with city commissioners in the hope of winning a vote against the project. The Seaway Corporation, which operates Miami’s Biltmore Hotel, plans to build villas from 1,000 square feet and over 5,000 square feet, and underground parking at the site. The plan needs to go through more than 10 more public hearings before it can be approved by the city commission.
