Bayview Palms residents seek return

An electrical fire in March forced more than 100 residents of Bayview Palms to evacuate their condo building, but left them on the hook for mortgage payments as well as interim housing costs. Last week, the property manager of the building, located at 1805 Sans Souci Boulevard, told residents that repairs on the building should be completed by the end of November. Steven Mason of KW Property Management said the company had been awaiting permits and insurance money. The city has granted three of the permits and electrical work has begun. Mason said he hoped residents would be home by Thanksgiving.
