Economist says housing market’s still in trouble

David Lereah, former chief economist of
the National Association of Realtors, said in a newsletter published
with former association spokesman Steve Cook, that even though recent news about the housing
market has been positive — like that there was an increase in home
sale numbers for September — the market is still in trouble.  “Are
these numbers too good to be true? Unfortunately the answer is yes,”
the newsletter said.
