Restaurant chain R.J. Gator’s will close after two silent auctions in
October and November did not result in a sale. Bids for the
five-restaurant chain began at $1.75 million, and while 82 people registered for the auctions, no bids were made. Building
owners were willing to offer concessions to keep the restaurant as a
tenant. One Palm Beach County R.J. Gator’s landlord offered lower rent and three months free rent.
