Boynton Beach mall redevelopment on hold

Recession financing hurdles have curtailed plans for a vacant strip
mall on the northwest corner of Gulfstream Boulevard and Federal
Highway. Jim Knight, a partner in Thirty-Six Hundred Holdings LLC,
which owns the property, said the firm will keep its commercial zoning
instead of seeking mixed-use residential and commercial status for the
proposed Heritage Club, with 166 residences and 19,000 square
feet of commercial space. He said the current economy makes the
redevelopment plan unrealistic.
