Tussle at top for Marcus & Millichap

Steven Ekovich, regional manager in brokerage Marcus & Millichap’s Tampa office,
resigned Monday rather than accept another job in the organization. He
could not be reached for comment but last week sent an e-mail to the
Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors withdrawing his name from consideration for this year’s Pinnacle
Awards. He said the company decided to retire him.
He blamed declining numbers for the company’s desire to go in another
direction. Marcus & Millichap restructured its Florida operations
in July.
