The home of sometime real estate-dealmaker-turned-murder suspect Thanos
Papalexis will be put up for auction January 15. The sale of the
5,739-square-foot house at 269 Pendelton Avenue goes on the block after
the lender, Americo Financial Life of Kansas City, Mo, obtained a $3.9
million judgment against a Papalexis company, Mare Investments, because a
$3.5 million loan extended in 2006 went unpaid. Papalexis in November
was charged with the March 2000 murder of a London man in connection
with a real estate deal. He is awaiting trial in the United Kingdom.
