Everglades center slated for FAU

Florida Atlantic University plans to build a center for Everglades
research, a $30 million project slated to open in 2010. The university
broke ground on its Davie campus this week, beginning site preparation
for the facility, which will be designed to receive
silver certification, the third highest rating, under the U.S.Green
Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design
program.
