Developer Haber killed in car accident

Stanley Haber, 62, was killed in a car accident as he was walking or jogging in Boca Raton. Haber was president of Old Colony Holdings, a development company that was involved in the development of The Village Center at Floral Lakes in the late 1990s. Before that, he was involved in about 30 projects in Canada. Police spokesman Mark Economou said there was no initial indication that alcohol, drugs or speed were a factor in the collision with William Danko, 81, of suburban Boca Raton. Police said Haber might have been trying to avoid sprinklers when he was hit on a poorly lit stretch of road on St. Andrews Boulevard.
