More and more homeowners and renters are taking in roommates to help them pay the bills and keep their homes after layoffs. Nationwide, roommate postings on Craigslist increased 70 percent to 476,045 in January 2009, up from 279,389 in January 2008, said a spokeswoman for the Web site.
