Sunrise city complex breaks ground

The City of Sunrise began construction on its $30 million, 109,000-square-foot building to house the city’s police and service headquarters. Stiles Construction started work on the project at 10440 West Oakland Park Boulevard, which will serve as the city’s emergency operations center. Sunrise demolished an earlier complex in 2007 and has put its municipal services in temporary offices until construction is finished in 2011.
