Series investigates easy loans

NBC’s Chris Hansen excerpted a three-part investigative series about
lenders who offered loans to homebuyers for homes they couldn’t
afford, spurring the housing crisis. Hansen speaks to one former Countrywide executive about what
were called “stated income loans.” The executive said the loans were
available to practically anyone who had a pulse. MSNBC also ran a clip from the series.
